Curtains. A simple project.

The curtains that came with the house were burlap, hanging on gold curtain rods.  You can kinda see them here...

I didn't take a close-up shot.  Woopsies.  I'm new at this.
So, I spray painted the curtain rods with Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint.  I cleaned them first with a degreaser spray cleaner, and I didn't have to sand or prime them first.  The paint stuck!  I also ordered some curtain ring clips from Overstock.com.
And the piece de resistance...the curtains!
Plain.  White.  Simple.  Cheap.
They had 8 panels, and I bought them ALL!  I wanted the curtains to be really heavy.  Here is one of my inspiration pics from Pinterest.
Now, one of the simplest ways to make store bought curtains look custom and pleated is with curtain ring clips.  It's so easy, I really don't understand why everyone doesn't do this.  You literally take the top of the curtain...
pinch it...and clip it.  Now repeat for all the panels.  The only thing is...this requires more curtain panels because you are making the width shorter with every pinch.  I bought double the width of the window, and they close just fine.  Voila.

Though I think the home's most spoiled important resident likes the curtains open.
Thanks for stopping by!
