God Bless Family...seriously.

First of all, let me say how terribly sorry I am that I've been away for like...an eternity.  A lot has happened since my last post.  Like this...

My peeps of course already know this.  I don't think I have any strangers subscribed to my blog.  But it should be documented on the blog.  So there you go.  The first of many bump pics. (and notice the Christmas tree skirt I made...that I fully intended on blogging about and never got around to.  sorry.)

Now onto the holidays.  They have shown me 2 things.  First...just how incredibly blessed we are.  Cheesy, I know.  But SOO TRUE.  And the second thing is how amazing my in-laws are.  When I say I married into the right family...it's an understatement.

Our Christmas present from my sister-in-law and her husband-to-be was SUPPOSED to be a new ceiling fan.  This one, to be exact:
Well, some craziness happened, and it was not going to come in time so they cancelled it, and offered instead to re-do our fireplace.  So as work began on the mantle...guess what arrived.  Yes.  The ceiling fan.
Well, my sister-in-law being the crazy lady that she is, she decided...what the heck, let's install it for them anyway...AND do the fireplace.  Have I mentioned I love this woman?

So, here's what the fireplace looked like before:

Not too bad, but both Aubree (sister-in-law), Cody, and I saw GREAT potential for something amazing.  And boy, did Aubree and her fiance deliver.  Check this out:

Are you kiddin' me?????  Yes.  That's our house.  They are amazing.  Aubree chose the molding with Cody, and Aubree basically designed the whole thing.  There aren't many people I feel comfortable enough with to just let them have creative freedom with my home.  She's one of them.  And you see why.

So, I can't thank them enough.  All I can do is blog about it.  If you have any questions as to how they did it, I can try to answer them...but Aubree definitely can.  Merry Christmas to us!
